The three time Melodifestivalen winner and former Eurovision Song Contest winner, Carola, will be performing a special duet with one of this year's Melodifestivalen stars, Måns Zelmerlöw tomorrow night at Borgholm, Öland. Both artists are hottly tipped to be battling one another in the final of next year's Swedish national selection.
The duo will come together to sing a special version of Som en bro över mörka vatten, the Swedish version of Bridge over troubled water as part of the celebrations of the Crown Princess Victoria's 30th birthday tomorrow. Carola is also expected to perform her 2006 Eurovision Song Contest entry, Invincibleduring the show. It will be Carola's third performance for the crown Princess's birthday celebrations.
Carola claimed earlier this year that Måns was her personal favourite to win Melodifestivalen this year with his song Cara mia. The show's co-ordinator, Kay Wiestål said: "It feels fantastic that Carola will be there. And it's very exciting that she will sing a duet with Måns. She will sing her own hits and be in the finale as well".
Melodifestivalen favourites Shirley Clamp, Sonja Alden and Sanna Nielsen will also be performing at the show to kick off their combined summer tour.
The event will be televised in Sweden on SVT 1 from 21:00-22:30 local time and will also be broadcast on SVT Europa so fans around Europe with access to the Channel will be able to see the show. For the British fans, the Harcourt Arms pub in Londonhave kindly agreed to show the event on their televisions so fans are welcome to go to the pub in London's Baker Street/Paddington area to show the event, which will feature plenty of Swedish music.
