The two time Melodifestivalen entrant and 2010 presenter of the annual Swedish national Eurovision selection has thrown his hat into the ring to compete in the 2015 edition of the contest, Aftonbladet reports.
Mans Zelmerlow first came to attention to the Swedish public in Idol. He went on to compete in Melodifestivalen first in 2007 with Cara Mia then in 2009 with Hope and Glory. He made the finals with both Fredrik Kempe written compositions. Since hosting the 2010 Melodifestivalen, Zelmerlow has gone on to become a successful television host fronting such popular shows as Skansen. Earlier this year we saw him take to the stage in Stockholm with the 2004 Eurovision entrant and Swedish music legend Lena Philipsson, in the musical Spook.

Apart from the latter Zelmerlow’s music career has taken a back seat. First, he scrapped a whole album because he was not happy with the songs leading to the album Barcelona Sessions which was released in February of this year; his first since his 2009 album in support of Hope and Glory.
Måns Zelmerlöw hopes to renew his music career again with the help of Melodifestivalen. Several independent sources with good insight into the contest have confirmed that SVT would be overjoyed if they can get Måns Zelmerlöw to participate in the competition again. Zelmerlöw has been reported by Aftonbladet to be more than eager to compete again.
The jury have already selected their tracks for next year’s competition. Christer Björkman and the jury are now in the midst of matching the artists with the songs.
