The French entrant in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest just released a preview of his upcoming compilation of Mike Brant’s songs.
Mike Brant was born in Cyprus and he debuted as a singer in Israel. Still, he developed a successful career in France which ensured him a place as one of the most remembered musicians in the country.
In 2015 it will be 40 years since Brant’s premature passing. Now Amaury Vassili pays tribute to the work of Mike Brant with his soon-to-be-released album Amaury Vassili chante Mike Brant.
Amaury’s latest work is a collection of some of Brant’s most popular songs covered by him. A specially beautiful touch will be the virtual duo of Amaury with Mike Brant performing Qui saura.
The surprises do not stop there. Amaury Vassili chante Mike Brant the track Où que tu sois, Mike Brant’s last composition, never recorded before and brought to life now in the voice of Amury Vassili.
The first single, Laisse-moi t’aimer, can already be enjoyed watching the official lyrics video.
With his latest album Amaury Vassili will please Mike Brant’s fans bringing back the memories of a earlier days. But he will also let the youngest discover the work of a master who left us too soon.
