The song is written by Ilse DeLange, JB Meijers, Matthew Crosby and Jake Etheridge.
Give me a reason is from the band’s hugely successful self titled album, The Common Linnets. The album has already achieved 3 x platinum in The Netherlands and has reached gold status in the country that beat them at Eurovision, Austria.
The Common Linnets performed Calm after the storm at Eurovision 2014 and finished in 2nd place. This achievement is The Netherlands best placing in recent years.
