Austria: Ticket sales start in November

The first batch of tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in the Austrian capital, Vienna, will go on sale in mid-November.

No exact date has been announced yet for the ticket sales, and ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, has yet to decide on an official ticketing partner. However, news on both of these fronts is expected in the coming weeks.

ORF has also issued a warning to fans to not buy tickets from websites claiming to be selling them already.

The 2015 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna.  The semi-finals have been confirmed to be taking place on May 19 and 21, with the final on May 23.

Austria won the right to host the contest after Conchita Wurst clinched the country’s second ever Eurovision victory in Copenhagen earlier this year with the song Rise like a phoenix.

The country’s first victory came in 1966 when Udo Jürgens won after his third attempt with Merci, chéri.
