Ukrainian representative Mariya Yaremchuk and Denmark’s Basim took a break from preparations to experience the Tivoli Gardens together earlier today.
Basim took the reigns as ambassador to Copenhagen today when he invited Mariya to an afternoon at Tivoli Gardens, the second oldest amusement park in the world. After sharing stories, some laughs, and some of Ukraine’s famous chocolates at a small cafe, Basim took Mariya on a tour of the area, showcasing some of his favourite spots and rides he enjoys in the park.
Throughout the afternoon, Basim and Mariya were bombarded by Eurovision fans hoping to snap a photo and talk with the performers.
We can see here how many people support Basim and they are looking for him, said Mariya. I wish Basim to feel that support, and this support to help him at Eurovision.
Before heading back to the venue for rehearsals, both expressed their support of one another for the upcoming contest and beyond. Mariya also welcomed Basim to Ukraine where she hopes to return the hospitality sometime in the future.
