The 2014 Latvian Eurovision entry Cake to Bake has gone viral in Spain and has taken the country by storm.  A group of Spanish bakers in Barcelona have recorded a special video featuring Aarzemnieki’s Eurovision entry.

Aarzemnieki will represent Latvia at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen next May. They will take the stage on 6 May as they will compete in the 1st  Semifinal  of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with their entry Cake to bake.

Latvian Eurovision representatives Aarzemnieki are in for a surprise as their Eurovision entry has become quite popular in Spain! Whilst the Latvian band is all set to conquer Europe with their Eurovision entry, they are yet to bake a cake on stage!

It’s not a  problem if the they don’t know how to bake a cake, as a group of  Spanish bakers have recorded a special video featuring  Aarzemnieki’s Eurovision entry. The band’s Press Assisant  was in Barcelona recently and found out about this when she met  2 Spanish barmen in a bar during her visit to the Spanish city. These 2 guys have been responsible for the making of this special video  andtold her –  There are very good cakes in Spain, so we need to show them to Europe.

Claudio and H. (H wants to remain anonymous), discovered the song when a Latvian girl was visiting their Bar “Libelula“. She had the Eurovision song “Cake to Bake” on her mobile and asked them if they could play it louder in the bar. They found the song funny, especially the lyrics and asked if the Latvians don’t have any cakes. None of the guys  have ever been in Latvia. There are some very prestigious places and restaurans feauturing in the video , Claudio adds, but you should come to Spain and visit the places yourselves.

The Spanish barmen Claudios and H. have both received many compliments for the video and their next aim is to get their video played in Copenhagen next May! Wether their dream will be accomplished only time will tell!
