Marija Šerifović is the first ever winner and representative from Serbia as independent country. She recently released a movie about her life named Ispovest or Confession. Her new album is third part of this project including also a book. The new album is expected to be released in 6 May.
Serbia won the contest in 2007 and successfully hosted it in 2008. Marija Šerifović with the song Molitva brought the trophy back to Belgrade. In 2014, Serbia will not participate in the contest.
