Marija Sestic, this year�s participant for Bosnia and Herzegovina will perform the song Rijeka bez Imena (River without a name) at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki. The song composed by young composers Aleksandra Milutinovic and Goran Kovacic, will be presented tomorrow in a special prime time TV show.
Public broadcasting service of Bosnia and Herzegovina BHRT will present the entry of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest at the BH Eurosong Show 2007, a special prime-time TV Show which is to take place on March 4th 2007 in National Theatre Sarajevo. The show will be broadcast live on BHT One and via satellite, BHT Sat from 20:00.
Many Eurovision fans might remember Marija from BH Eurosong 2005, when she came 4th, with the Marc Paelinck song In this world. Marija studied the piano at the famous Music Academy in Banja Luka, as the youngest student in its history and very soon she will get a Master's degree at the very same Academy, where she works as a Professor Assistant. Her father Dusan is the author of the official National anthem of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
This year’s slogan of Bosnian pre-selection is Sound of Rivers.
Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved their biggest success at the Eurovision Song Contest last year when Hari Mata Hari won 3rd place with ethno ballad Lejla.Bosnia and Herzegovinais therefore automatically qualified for the final show in Helsinki.
