Tonight, the Greek interim broadcaster DT will air the 2014 Greek national final Eurosong 2014 – a MAD show. The show will air at 20:00 CET.
The show
Hosted by Despoina Vandi and Giorgos Kapoutzidis at the Gazi Music Hall, the 4 participants will perform their entries to both the public and jury who will then vote for their favourite act. Both the public and jury votes will then be combined and a winner will be selected.

Guest performers
To celebrate Greece’s 40th Anniversary in the Eurovision Song Contest, a number of duets will be performed as well as a number of solo performances. Artists appearing at the Greek national final include; Elpida (1979), Tamta, Sofia Vossou (1991), Demy, Kaiti Garbi (1993), Vegas, Kalomira (2008), Claydee, Pascalis, Marianna, Robert and Bessy (1977) and Melisses. Last year’s Greek representatives Koza Mostra and Agathon Iakovidis will also make an appearance at the national final.
Greece’s Eurovision Song Contest history
Greece debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with the entry Krasi, thalassa kai t’ agori moi performed by Marinella. Marinella ended in 11th place with a total of 7 points. Greece’s best results was in 2005 when Helena Paparizou was selected to represent Greece with the song My number one. Helena won the contest with a total of 230 points, bringing Greece their first and only victory to date.
Last year, Koza Mostra and Agathonas Iakovidis won the Greek national final with the song Alcohol is free, earning the right to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. Qualifying to the grand final in 2nd place, they eventually ended in 6th place with a total of 152 points.
Greece will perform in the second semi-final at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen on the 8 May.
