Esctoday.com recently caught up with Hersi Matmuja, this years Albanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark. Hersi told us how her life changed after she won the Albanian national music festival and about her Eurovision entry which has already been revamped.

Back in December you won the national music festival in Albania with the song Zemërimi i një nate. You had enough time time to work on your Eurovision entry. Is everything ready now for the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen?

Everything has been changed in my life from the moment I have been declared as the winner of Festivali i Këngës 2013. From that time I’ve been focused only on my song. We have traveled to Greece to rework and record our song in a renowned music studio in Athens. The instruments have been played by very professional Albanian and Greek musicians. We have also finished the preview video of the song. The video has been realized with a lot of professionalism and love by the director Petri Bozo and his great staff.  The video scenes have been recorded in several Albanian places as in Divjakë, Kruje and in Tirana.

Hersi, can you tell us something about the new version of Zemërimi i një nate?

We have worked a lot on it and we have think a lot about every detail. The composer Genti Lako  knows how to surprise the people with his great unique music style. I have to say that the song has got a new spirit and I am very happy with the final result.

When will we get the chance to hear your Eurovision entry?

The song and the preview video will be premiered somewhere between 15 – 20th of March.

Thank you Hersi for the conversation and good luck on your road to Denmark.
