DR, the Danish and host broadcaster of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, has announced that viewers will have the chance to take part in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest – via a virtual choir!

Eurovision fans will now have the opportunity to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest this year in Copenhagen. Viewers will be able to submit a video of themselves either singing or dancing to last year’s Eurovision winning entry, Only teardrops. Instructions on how to take part in the virtual choir can be found on the JoinUs.dk website where you’ll also find a number of performances from other Eurovision viewers.

DR are looking for people with standout dance moves. The people with the most unique moves will be able to dance live on stage at the Eurovision Song Contest in the second semi-final. Tickets will be provided.

In an interview with eurovision.tv, Jan Lagermand Lundme, the Head of Show for the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, stated; One of our main ambitions is to bring people closer together. To realise this, we are reaching out to everyone across the world and inviting them to sing or dance in the show. We are saying: come and join us!
