During the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 week, fans will be able to get married in various places in Copenhagen.
Krista’s lesbian kiss at the end of her performance and the gay kiss during the grand final’s interval act, inspired Denmark to offer both gay and straight couples the ability to get married in Copenhagen on 7, 9 or 10 May. Copenhagen has been, for the past 4 years, marrying same and opposite sex couples in open air in the city.
Thomas Jakobsen, who is the director of Copenhagen’s Citizen Service and is responsible for marriage ceremonies in the city, explains that they will make everyone welcome at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest and the marriage incentive will be a great opportunity for this to happen.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 will be held at the B&W Halls in Copenhagen, Denmark on 6, 8 and 10 May, 2014.
