Finland: Running order decided & voting opens for UMK 2014 final

Voting for the grand final of Finland’s UMK 2014, the Finnish selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest, has begun today and the running order has been announced.

Over the last three weeks 12 acts have competed to win one of the eight places in this Saturdays final through two heats and a semi-final. The winning song will go on to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in May.

The running order
1. Softengine – Something better
2. Hanna Sky – Hope
3. MIAU – God/Drug
4. Lauri Mikkola – Going down
5. MadCraft – Shining bright
6. Mikko Pohjola – Sangyn reunalla
7. Clarissa ft. Josh Standing – On top of the world
8. Hukka ja Mama – Selja

Voting is open from now until it closes again on Saturday during the final, and the Finnish public can vote via text, phone or online.

The results of the public vote will be combined with a jury vote to determine the over all result.  Each will have a 50% say in the over all outcome

Both Softengine and Hanna Sky won their respective heats in order to qualify to the final, whilst the six other acts qualified from the semi-final last Saturday (25 January)

Finland’s Eurovision Song Contest 2013 representative, Krista Siegfrids will be opening the final as well as performing during the interval. She finished 24th in the grand final with her entry Marry me.
