A couple of days ago it was reported that 61 songs were submitted to the Moldovan preselection for Eurovision 2014. TRM, the Moldovan broadcaster, has released the list of 40 entries that advanced to the live auditions phase.

During that phase, that will take place on February 1st at 11:00 local time, the chosen entries will be performed live. Out of them, only 24 will qualify to the televised round. They will be devided into two semifinals which will take place on March 11th and 13th, while the grand final will be held on March 15th.

The selecting jury includes seven members, including Nelly Ciobanu, the Moldovan representative for Eurovision 2009.

This will mark the 10th participation of Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest, debuted in 2005 and also reached its best placing that year (6th). Last year, Moldova was represented by Aliona Moon who brought home the 11th place with her song O mie. The winner of the Moldovan grand final will represent its country at the first semi-final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest on May 6th.
