After competing in the first 2 rounds, 8 participants remain and will compete in Round 3 of the selection. Full details about the selection process can be found here.

Originally, the 4 finalists were to be decided along with the 2014 Lithuanian Eurovision song entry on the 8 February with the representative then being selected on the 15 February. However due to the popularity of this year’s shows, LRT have decided to extend the selection meaning that the grand final will instead take place on the 1 March. Lithuania debuted at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. Lithuania’s best result to date was in 2006 when LT United was selected to represent their country in the host city of Athens. After qualifying to the grand final, the band eventually ended in 6th place with a total of 163 points.

Last year, Andrius Pojavis represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with his song Something. Pojavis received 17 points in the final, ending in 22nd place.
