Tonight the first Romanian semi final took place. Since Giulia Nahmany was disqualified, only eleven entries were presented and the Top 6, chosen by a jury (50 %) and televoting moved forward to the final on 10th February.

The winner of the national final will be directly qualified for the Eurovision Song Contest final in Helsinki since Mihai Traistariu finished 4th in Athens with Tornerò.
