GPB, the Georgian national broadcaster has confirmed to esctoday.com that Georgia will select its forthcoming Eurovision representative via an internal selection.

The management of GPB will be responsible to select the singer that will represent Georgia at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen next May.The Georgian broadcaster is yet to decide the mechanism it will use to select the 2014 Georgian entry, either  via an internal song selection or a televised song selection.More details will be disclosed in due course.

In 2013 GPB opted for an internal selection when Sopho Gelovani and Nodi Tatishvili were selected to fly the Georgian flag in Malmo with Thomas G.sson’s Waterfall, achieving a 15th place in the final.

Georgia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with Sopho Khalvashi‘sVisionary Dream. The country is yet to win the event and their  best placing at the contest has been a 9th place in 2010 with Sopho Nizharadze‘s Shine and in 2011 with Eldrine‘s One more day.
