Over the past number of weeks, DR, the host broadcaster of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, has been seeking ideas for this year’s interval act from Eurovision fans all around the world. Today, DR revealed that they are still searching for more suggestions and as well as that, the best ideas will be used in this year’s contest.

We have received such an overwhelming number of fantastic ideas that we have now taken the decision to include the result of the contributions as part of the Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest!, stated DR’s Head of Show Jan Lagermand Lundme. He added that we’ll enthusiastically accept more wild and spectacular ideas for acts that have never been seen on stage before. I don’t want to give too much away, but this will not be the last time we’ll ask for ideas and contributions from viewers and fans everywhere.

According to eurovision.tv, DR have already received thousands of ideas via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #MyEurovisionIdea and are still seeking some more ideas from the public. Everyone will be able to share their ideas on the three social networking sites until the 31 January. The best ideas will be brought to life on the Eurovision stage this May in Copenhagen! You can look at some of the suggested ideas here.
