Less then 10 days left until this year’s edition of Festivali i Këngës and one of the hosts has decided to quit the festival’s hosting, due to arguments with the director of the festival.
Diellza Kolgeci, one of the chosen presenters from RTSH, the Albanian broadcaster, to host the 52 Festivali i Këngës, drops out after debates with the director of RTSH and FiK followed by an argument with the image director of the festival, the well-known fashion designer, Joni Peci.
Diellza, who is a fashion icon herself claims that RTSH changed some points in her contract. On the other hand Martin Leka, the director of the festival said that the arguments weren’t because of the payments, but due to Diellza’s requirements including the accommodation and transport which to him seemed absurd. Mr. Leka also announced that if no replacement is to be found in time, Enkel Demi will be hosting the festival alone.
Festivali i Këngës will be held on 26, 27 and 28 December and all 18 selected songs automatically proceed to the final.
