Latvian Broadcaster LTV has received the final corrections for the list of performers for their national final. Meanwhile the artists are preparing for the video shoot that will take place at the Riga Motion Pictures Studio from January 18 – 20.

The latest Eurovision Song Contest related news from LTV completes the list of participants for the national selection on January 27 and February 3.

Two importantfacts regarding Kjell Jenstig's song Tomorrow have been announced. The first, the title of the song is changed to Italian-Questa Notte. The second isthat the song will be performed by six tenors listed as Bonaparts -Normunds Jakušonoks, Andris Ābelīte, Kaspars Tīmanis, Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Roberto un Andris Ērglis.

To clarify – none ofabovementioned musicians is a professional opera singer. Andris Ābelīte has taken part in Eirodziesma 2002 and 2003, as have Normunds Jakušonoks and Kaspars Tīmanis (in Eirodziesma 2001 with group Labveligais tips). Roberto is an Italian who arrived to Latvia in 2001 and became popular due to Musical Theatre of Talant Factory (Latvian version of Idol).He also stands for the lyricsof Feels Like Heaven,the entry competing on the same semi-final as Questa Notte for the ticket to Helsinki. Andris Ērglis is a professional percussionist and has joined several Latvian musical projects as a drummer (i.e. for Tomass Kleins (Fomins & Kleins, who represented Latvia at ESC 2004) and singer). Ērglis has also collaborated with Robert Wells (Sweden). Zigfrīds Muktupāvels has been in the Latvian music arena for decades, but it will be his debut in the Latvian naitonal final.

Meldra and Johnny Salamander (runners up at Eirodziesma 2004) will join Robert Wells on stage, performing The Legends of Rock’n Roll. Despite his busy schedule Robert will arrive in Latvia to shoot the video and taking part in the initial round.

As of January 22 all the songs will be aired on Radio SWH and Radio SWH+. Radio SWH has become the information partner of Eurovision.

Latvia has participated in Eurovision Song Contest since 2000, winning in 2002 (Marie N, I wanna) and hosting in 2003. In 2006 Cosmos finished 16th therefore requiring whoever Eirodziesma 2007 to participate in the semi-final on 10 May.
