LITESOUND the 2012 Belarusian Eurovision representatives have released a brand new videoclip – Shooting Star.
Pop-rock band and Eurovision 2012 Baku participants LITESOUND want to introduce you to their charming new holiday music video Shooting Star!
Brothers Dmitry and Vladimir, joined by two new members Artyom and Yegor Doronkin (also brothers) step back from their energized pop rock hit We Are the Heroes (Eurovision Baku 2012) for a calmer, more melodic feel-good holiday single Shooting Star. The quartet, with Dmitry’s powerful voice leading, combines some smooth cascading back-up vocals that are guaranteed to have audiences humming and singing along.
The Christmas video does more than just send a message about what the holidays are truly about. Uniquely, global audiences are given subtle exposure to the Belarusian traditions of the holidays without the mutual exclusivity of Slavic expectations. The video blends the culture of family celebration with tradition symbols of the season, a Christmas tree, winter decorations, a beaded visitor bearing gifts, while relating to international fans. The message and theme of the video are instantly recognizable but interestingly different—setting it apart from the hundreds of other Christmassy music videos.
LITESOUND represented Belarus at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku with their entry We are the heroes. Despite an energetic performance they failed to qualify to the final.
