2000’s

The 2000s was a decade full of changes for Cyprus because in 2002 they sent their first ever non Greek entry Gimme which was performed in English by the boy band One. They finished in 6^th place with 85 points.

In 2004 British singer Lisa Andreas represented Cyprus with the love ballad Stronger Every Minute which placed 5^th in both the semi final and final. Lisa became the third entry to place 5^th for Cyprus meaning she is one of the highest placing entries for Cyprus in their 31 year history.
