SVT, the Swedish broadcaster has announced that the 32 acts taking part in the Melodifestivalen 2014 will be announced during two special press conferences next week.
SVT will hold two press conferences in order to announce the acts competing in the National Selection for Europe’s Favourite Show. The broadcaster will reveal the name of the artists taking part in the first two rounds, to be held in Malmö and Linköping, on Tuesday 26 November. The remaining names, competitors in Gothenburg and Örnsköldsvik, will be announced two days later, on Thursday 28 November.
The artist’s presentation will be streamed live on SVT’s website, starting at 9:50 CET. Singers, songwriters and the song titles will be then published online as the broadcaster will be preparing a special coverage of the announcement.
After weeks of speculations the long process is finally over. Christer Björkman, Executive Producer of Melodifestivalen commented to be very happy as the range of genres feels incredibly inspiring and fun.
After hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, the SVT received 2628 entries for next year’s Melodifestivalen.
