During the next two weeks SVT will announce the 32 entries in Melodifestivalen 2014 which will decide Sweden’s entries in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. But over the past few days Swedish media have been speculating a number of artists who may be in this year’s Melodifestivalen.

One group have already been got one of the thirty two places after winning Svensktoppen nästa a few months ago is Eko a new up and coming Swedish band.

One of the  names rumoured are last year’s runner up Yohio who compete with the song Heartbreak hotel which despite coming second finished top of the televote. This year it is speculated Yohio will return with a song written by Andreas Johnson who has competed in Melodifestivalen in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012.

Another big Melodifestivalen speculated return is Sanna Nielsen who like Yohio finished second but came top of the televote back in 2008 with the song Empty room. Sanna has entered Melodifestivalen in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2011.

Swedish X Factor 8th placer and Melodifestivalen 2012 backing singer Oscar Zia is another name mentioned on the list. Oscar was a backing singer for Behrang Mia who performed with the song Jalla dansa sawa.

One more massive name is former Eurovision Song Contest winner Helena Paparizou who won the contest in 2005 for Greece with the song My number one and finished third with the group Antique in the 2001 contest. It is said that Helena’s song would be written by Bobby Ljunggren, Henrik Wikström and Sharon Vaughn. Helena has also recorded a song with former Swedish Eurovision contestant Jill Johnson.

Up and coming DJ Avicii is also one of those mentioned to take part this year. Avicii is best known for creating house hits around the globe and also known for creating alongside Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson last years Eurovision Anthem for 2013.

Another few acts speculated are TV twins Judit & Judit, Musician and producer Dr Alban and singer Linda Bengtzing.
