Roman Lob, who represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Cong Contest of 2012, is working on songs for his new album. He has been writing new tracks for months and will start the production of the album early next year. The singer told WN.de that his new album will be more personal than his debut, that was released shortly after Eurovision.
Roman Lob explained that he purposely lived outside of the spotlights for a while, to write the tracks for his upcoming album in silence. As he has written the tracks himself this time, his forthcoming album will be more personal and the lyrics will depict his own life. Lob describes his new music as pop, but with influences from R&B and some electronic beats as well. The album will be produced in January and February 2014, but a release date is not yet announced.
In 2012, Roman won Unser Star für Baku, the talent show that decided who would represent Germany in Eurovision that year. Lob entered the competition with the song Standing still and finished at the 8th position.
