This year's Bay Music Awards took place last night at the Eden Arena in Malta. Ira Losco, the 2002 runner-up at the Eurovision Song Contest, had been nominated for Best Solo Artist and for Best Single and she triumphed in both categories. Ira Performed live during the show, thrilling her thousands of fans present.
The nominations had been announced earlier in the month, through the radio station's site and the public voted for their favorites by sms until December 6. Ira was nominated in tw catergories together with:

For the first time, The Bay Music Awards (BMA's) introduced one more Award as well, the Viewers' Choice Award. The television audience had the opportunity to vote during the show via sms for their favorite performance of the evening. The winner will be announced on 89.7 FMBay Radioon Wednesday 20th December 2006. So we wouldn't be surprised if there was one more award yet on Ira's way.
