Helena Paparizou, the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest winner for Greece, and Michalis Hatzigiannis, who represented Cyprus at the competition in 1998, sang during the second Charity Telethon Become a child with me, organised by the Greek channel Antenna TV.

Helena sang three songs from her two extremely successful albums The game of love and Yparchei logos. Michalis, who is currently one of the most popular singers in Greece and a greatly favored by the Greek public to represent the country in Helsinki, sang live from the VOX club.

A total of €2,442,667 was raised during the evening to be given to twelve different foundations for children in need. The event was broadcast live in Europe, Australia and the USA by the ANT1 satellite channels.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
