Maltasong 2nd phase – New venue announced

The Malta Song Board announced some important changes for this Saturday's second phase preselection of the 2007 Malta Song For Europe Festival. Song for Europe will be held next Saturday 9th December at St. Dorothy�s School, Zebbug and not at St.Patrick�s as previously announced.

Just two days before the second phase of the 2007 Malta Song For Europe Festival, the Malta Song Board announced some important changes. The second preselection will not be held at St. Patrick's, in Sliema, but at St. Dorothy’s School, Zebbug.

A press release informed us that in this second pre-selection all the songs will be heard on demo followed by a live interpretation in front of 7 international judges. Results will be published later on the MaltaSong Board website, maltasong.com on Saturday evening.

The draw for the running order of the semi-final will take place in January where the singers, composers, authors and the press will be invited. YADA Dance Company are in full preparation for the opening act for both nights whilst Fabrizio Faniello and winner of the ESC 2004 Ruslana will be the main guests for the final night. Ruslana will be performing along with 8 dancers and 6 musicians for this event.

Following this second phase, fourteen compositions shall proceed to the semi-final and will be joined by another two compositions from the Opportunity 2 Competition, for a total of sixteen . From the semi-final six songs shall make it to the final. In the final, all six songs, will be judged exclusively by 100% televoting.
