With the Junior Eurovision just a few days behind us, Belgium is already getting ready for next year. They have already announced the deadline for the submission of the songs for Eurosong for Kids 2007, which is February 14th 2007.

According to the new EBU rule applying from 2007, the children’s age minimum limit moves up to 10 years old. So the candidates should have been born between 9th December 1991 and 8th December 1997, be of Belgian nationality, have no previous professional experience and have to submit their song in Dutch. Click here to find the application, together with all the necessary information.

The application form, together with the song on CD, a copy of the child’s (or children) ID card and two colour photographs should be sent to: Eén, Eurosong for Kids, lokaal8L71, 1043 Brussels, by February 14th at the latest.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
