Jessy Matador, the 2010 French Eurovision representative in Oslo, is currently under the spotlights with no less than 2 different singles hitting the French radios. Earlier this month the ambassador of the Afrikan New Style released two new songs, Angela and Echo. The two tracks are actually from two distinct music projects.

The song Angela is performed as a duet with French rapper of Moroccan origins Zifou and is the third single of the certified-Gold status album Tropical Family which is made of covers of summery dance songs from the 1990’s and early 2000’s performed by a selection of currently successful artists including Jessy Matador and Corneille who penned the 2006 French entry. The song, performed in French and Creole, is a cover of one of the main hits of French rap collective Saïan Supa Crew from 1999.

Jessy Matador appears on the second track Echo as a featuring for French newcomer Lylloo. The single is a typical electro-latin song performed both in French and Spanish and meant to make people dance till the end of summer and beyond…
