When esctoday.com came on-line more than six years ago, there was hardly any other information about the Eurovision Song Contest on the internet. Now the Eurovision Song Contest news sites, fan sites, journals, blogs and MySpaces have absolutely exploded. In the weekly EuroBlog Roundup esctoday.com looks at what's going on — news rumour, gossip — in the Euroblogosphere, the wild and strange world of Eurovision blogs.

The Euroblogosphere was fairly quiet last week. Perhaps the bloggers were more interested in digging up dirt on Britany Spears' text message break-up with K-Fed. Or else everyone was looking for Eurovision videos on YouTube.com – or lip-synching their own.

This week's Euroblog roundup also digs into the YouTube archive pulling out a few recent interesting gems. Plus, The Schlagerboys remember Moldova (and Moldavia), the new blog Eurocovers remembers Paul Mauriat, and livejournaler Shadow-wolfess turns in an informed analysis of the just announced Finnish hopefuls with EuroGreek providing YouTube video.

Finally, one of esctoday.com's own long-time editors is caught lip-synching Croatia's 1998 entry on YouTube.We put him up against Eurovision/YouTube celebrity lip-syncher, and friend of esctoday.com, Dan's, rendition of Luxembourg's 1971 entry in a head-to-head lip-synch competition.
