1979 Irish Eurovision Song Contest representative is back. Cahal Dunne, mostly known as “Happy Man” will perform at the McGoff Performing Arts Centre in Williamston, USA, on 21st July at a benefit concert in order to assist the senior centre with their on-going community awareness campaign and to financially help  the centre with other projects.

Dunne finished 5th and sold well across Europe and charted at number 3 in his home country, Ireland. From the 80’s, Dunne has been living in the USA and has carried on performing on various occasions, including for former US President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn, showing his singing, piano playing and joke telling skills.

I remember watching my first Eurovision Song Contest in 1988, aged 7. I have been a true fan since then.
