Many Eurovision stars will be gracing the stage at the opening ceremony of the annual Belarusian Song Festival- The 2013 Slavonic Bazaar which kicks off tomorrow in Vitebsk. Emmelie De Forest, Al Bano, Alyona Lanskaya, Tina Karol and Dima Bilan will all be attending the soiree.
The 22nd International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk will be held from 11-15 July 2013. This year the Summer Amphitheater, the center stage of the festival, will mark its 25th anniversary.
This year the festival will be held in a new format. It will be more concise, and the program will be more spectacular both for the live audience and TV audience.
The Union State Day will be held in a different way this year. Taking part in the program Friendship concert- The Union State invites…we will not only see artists from Belarus and Russia, but from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Latvia and Lithuania etc.
One of the key events of the festival is the solemn opening ceremony. The concert will be structured into two parts. The first part will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Summer Amphitheatre, whilst the the second part will be a special show feauturing welcome messages from various festivals held in other cities.
The solemn opening ceremony will feature many international artists including many former Eurovision winners and participants: Edita Piekha, Kristina Orbakaite, Yelena Vayenga, Dima Bilan (Russia 2006- 2008), Alyona Lanskaya (Belarus 2013), Anatoly Yarmolenko, Inna Afanasieva (Belarus), Tina Karol (Ukraine 2006), Roza Rymbayeva,Al Bano (Italy 1976,1985), In-Grid, the Gipsy Kings and last and certainly not least the winner of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest Emmelie de Forest (Denmark 2013).
A total of 18 concerts will be held on stage of the Summer Amphitheater during the festival. Other interesting events will take place in other places all over Vitebsk.
Many former Eurovision artists have either taken part or graced the Slavianski Baazar stage throughout the years.
