Anna Rossinelli’s new album Marylou hits the No.1 spot in the Swiss album charts.

Marylou’s fourteen tracks were written entirely by Anna and her two bandmates, guitarist Manuel Meisel and bassist, George Dillier, who is also the singer’s boyfriend. The album asks what it means to be a sophisticated, independent woman in a man’s world and as such, it showcases a variety of sounds from synthesised pop described by the band as ‘bioelectronics’, to the blues and to French music of the 60s.

While working on Marylou we had the time we needed to face up to our music in a stronger way and to write our own songs. As a result the album became much more personal, Anna said of her experience putting together the album.
