The Spanish participant in this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be selected on 6th October. The show will be broadcast on TVE1 at 22:00 local time.
5 singers will be taking part in the selection:
- Daniel (14) from Alcázar de San Juan
- Gabriella (12) from Las Palmas
- Manuel (14) from Oviedo
- Miriam Figueiras (9) from Ourense
- Miriam Ortega (13) from Málaga.
TVE have also announced that each of the competitors will be singing a song accompanied by a popular Spanish singer, plus the song with which they hope to represent Spain, should they win.
So far, Spain has been very succesful in the competition with two second places and a victory in 2004. Last year, Spain was runner-up with Te traiga flores, sung by Antonio Jose.
