LRT have decided to stick to this year's successful selection procedure as they begin their search for Lithuania's 2007 Eurovision Song Contest entry for Helsinki.
Jonas Vilimas of LRTsaid today''The preliminary selection period will be January and February next year. Our preliminary deadline for entries will be the end ofDecember 2006. We have not yet set any precise dates''.
The Eurovision Song Contest2006in Athens saw the best ever result for Lithuania in the contest, asLT United reached sixth place with their song We are the winners. Due to this result, Lithuania havequalified automatically for the final in Helsinki next year.
