The first book to be written about Finnish Eurovision winners, Lordi, will be available in shops from 18th August, it was announced today.

The author of the book, Sven Pahajoki, hails from Lordi's home town of Rovaniemi in northern Finland.

The book is a biography of the life of Tomi Putaansuu, who is the lead singer of the group Lordi.

"The book tells the story of how Lordi became Lordi," said Mr Pahajoki.

The language and style of the book are targeted towards a young audience, added the author. The book will be published by the Revontuli publishing house.

A second book on Lordi, written by culture reporter, Jussi Ahlroth, from the Helsingin Sanomat is to be published this autumn by Johnny Kniga, a division of Finland's biggest publishing house, WSOY.
