Sweden will participate in this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest, since commercial TV4 took over the rights from SVT. TV4 revealed that the Swedish national selection for Bucharest takes place on 2nd September. Everyone between 8 and 15 can send in songs until 3rd July.

On the other hand, SVT together with Danish DR and Norwegian NRK will arrange their own competition in Stockholm in november called MGP Nordic. The Swedish selection of this show is still called Lilla Melodifestivalen and will be held on SVT1 in October!
