The runner-up to Daz Sampson in Making your mind up 2006 has turned to the London stage to get over his disappointement at coming second in March.
Antony Costa, a former member of the British boyband Blue, has taken on the role of Liverpudlian twin Mickey in the musical Blood brothers at the Phoenix Theatre in the British capital.
The singer, who already had a taste of acting in the UK school drama Grange Hill, said "it's fantastic to go on stage and be someone else. I was acting as a kid, starting out on TV adverts.' He explains that the disappointment of not winning the British Eurovision Song Contest selection is behind him now, continuing "Things happen for a reason and if I was doing Eurovision, I wouldn't be doing Blood brothers!"
Blood brothers tells the story of twins who are separated at birth, but meet later in life with tragic consequences. Hits from the show inclue "Tell me it's not true", made famous in the charts by singer Barbara Dickson.
