The team is putting the finishing touches on their performances under the direction of Fokas Evangelinos. Rehearsals for the mini-shows that will introduce the semifinal, final, the Opening Ceremony and intervals began at the end of February. The mini-shows for the semifinal and the final will last for about eight minutes each.

The rehearsals took place against a dramatic backdrop set off by twinkling stars and rising stairways illuminated by colourful lights. The creative talents of Set Designer Ilias Ledakis are sure to impress viewers all over the world.

Fokas Evangelinos stated that the concept of the Semi Final is based on Greek elements, such as ancient Greek history, mythology, and drama. The Final includes elements which call to mind the sea, the sun and a light that is uniquely Greek. Evangelinos promises that “attendees will not only enjoy the Greek sun outdoors, but inside the Olympic Indoor Hall as well.”
