Hello Europe (and the rest of the world!) this is, finally, Athens calling! With a little time gap inbetween arrivals, Olympic Airlines flight 360 from London and KLM flight 1577 from Amsterdam arrived in Athens, with on board the first group of esctoday.com editors. Although a little colder than normal for this time of the year, the weather is pleasant and the upcoming event is part of the atmosphere!

From the airport to the very heart of Athens, the Eurovision Song Contest is present at billboards and banners, bus stop advertisement, on radio and television.

As from today, delegates, journalists and fans can pick up their accreditation at the venue's accreditation desk. The press centre will be in operation as from Wednesday, while rehearsals start the day after.

In the upcoming days, your dedicated team will explore the host city of this year's competition and as ever, you can expect some exciting reports in the upcoming days!
