Carola, the Swedish representative at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, is in Slovenia for her promotion tour. She met the local representative Anzej Dezan and sang in Slovenian, whilst her host had a try at singing in Swedish.
The Slovene performer, Anzej Dezan, and the Swedish star, Carola, joined their singing skills for the show Nikoli ob desetih to be broadcasted on the 2nd TV channel of Slovenia on May 13th. The main guest of the show will be Anzej Dezan who will sing four songs live and will try to answer tricky questions of the host Peter Poles.
Meanwhile, Peter's team filmed Anzej and Carola during her promotion trip in Ljubljana and in the footage we can even listento Carolasinging in Slovenian and Anzej in Swedish.
In other Slovenian news,Slovenia produced a special show to present all the songs of the ESC 2006. The show is to be broadcasted on May 4th 2006 on Channel 2of TV Slovenia. Hostingthe show will be Peter Poles (host of the Slovene national selection 2003 and 2004; Slovene spokesperson in 2003 and 2004) and his guest will be three former Slovene ESC performers: Cole Moretti (lead vocalist of 1xband, 1993), Marlenna (lead vocalist of Sestre, 2002) and Nusa Derenda (2001). They will judge all this year's entries and try to explain what could be the ultimate ESC entry based on their own experiences.
Both Slovenia and Sweden will have togo through the semifinal in Athens this year, due to last year's disappointing outcome.
