Linda Bengtzing speaks out

As the first full day of rehearsals for the 2006 Melodifestivalen final draw to a close, Linda Bengtzing invited to her hotel to catch up since last they met in August. In that time, Linda has completed and released her first album, returned to Melodifestivalen and booked her place in the final.

Always open and honest, Linda was happy to talk about what she's been doing, what she thinks of the Melodifestivalen competition and what she believes it should be for.

We can reveal that the English version of the song would be entitled I did it for you and the song would be performed in English in Athens should Linda be voted by the Swedish public to represent them at the 51st Eurovision Song Contest in Athens.

We also asked Linda about her development as a singer, how preparations for Saturday are going, what changes will be made to the semifinal performance, and what she will do if she wins.
