London is slowly turning itself into a Eurovision party city. Last night's Douze Points event at the Retro Bar was yet again full to the rafters, leaving little room to breathe. The Harcourt Arms was bursting at the seams on Saturday as a large proportion of the Making your mind up audience descended on the West London establishment to catch a re-run of the Melodifestivalen 3rd semifinal.
The Harcourt Arms has become a Eurovision oasis over the last three weeks, with crowds growing to watch the live broadcasts of the Melodifestivalen shows.
Tickets are now on sale for tomorrow's fourth and last semifinal and Sunday's Second Chance round. They are priced at an exceptional £3 and INCLUDES a beer or soft drink. Tickets are also available for the VIP room at £15 including 5 beers/soft drinks or a bottle of wine, along with snacks and reserved seating.
We are also promised a 'Eurovision' special for the Melodifestivalen final on Saturday 18th March. Not only will the show be broadcast live, but there will be Melodifestivalen and Eurovision Song Contest music being played throughout the night.
Due to high demand, the Harcourt Arms has begun selling tickets for the VIP room are on early sale for next week's final. 25 VIP tickets for the final for £15 which includes 5 beers/softdrinks or a bottle of wine, snacks and a reserved seat. Douze Points takes place on the second Thursday of every month. The next two events will carry an annual difference. The April event on the 13th will be a chance to preview all of the Semifinal entries on video. There will be a vote, and the Douze Points crowd will send their top ten to the final. The May event on the 11th will be a preview of the finalists, including the 14 prequalified songs and the top ten selected by the audience the previous month.
