According to the fanclub website of Thomas Anders, one of the three participants in the German national final for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest on 9th March, his bid for Athens is Songs that live forever. As earlier reported, the singer did not perform his song for the first time at the OGAE Germany convention in Munich, but during a private Thomas Anders fan club meeting.

According to the same sources, Songs that live forever is a Johnny Logan-like ballad. Eurovision Song Contest diva Vicky Leandros and Texas Lightning will also take part in the German national selection for the 51st Eurovision Song Contest, their songs are yet unknown.

Tickets for the event, to take place at the Deutschen Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, cost between EUR 26 and EUR 61 and can be ordered through the ticket hotline at +49-(0)1805-663 661 (EUR 0,12 p/m).
