From Nuno Figueira of RTP esctoday.com learned that the Portuguese broadcaster strongly prefers to organise a public selection. However, if the five invited producers set tough conditions to take part in it, RTP might give up of the idea and thus another format will have to be used in order to choose the Portuguese song for Athens. In that case, an internal selection is among the options as well.
