Ukraine selected its first couple of participants for the talent scout show, which has to deliver the country's fourth Eurovision Song Contest participant. During Ti-zirka, the Ukrainian version of You're a star, the Ukrainian participant for Athens will be chosen.

The names of the two selected singers or bands have not yet been made public. For six more Saturdays, a couple of participants will be chosen. As from 28th January, each two weeks three of them will be eliminated. During a show on 11th March, the winner will be chosen out of three finalists.

Due to Greenjolly's disappoining result, the 2006 Ukrainian Eurovision Song Contest participant will have to start in the semifinal on 18th May in Athens, Greece.
