Krista Siegfrids, the Finnish representative for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest was in London last Sunday for the London preview party.
As the party took place right in the middle of London’s Soho, known for its diversity and the location for dozens of gay and mixed bars and shops, we had the opportunity to talk to her about marriage equality.
Krista has spoken out in support of everybody being able to marry the person they love. She says she would like her tongue-in-cheek song Marry me also carry a more serious message, and the Finns had even added a girl-on-girl kiss to the end of their performance both in the Amsterdam and London preview parties.
The Finnish artist also met with the CEO of the oldest London LGBT charity London Friend, Monty Moncrieff, to talk about her support for the marriage equality campaign in Finland, as the same issue is currently being debated in the UK as well. Watch Krista talking to Monty here
