ETV starts its search for the Estonian 2006 Eurovision Song Contest representative! A national final has been scheduled for 4th February, 2006.

Songs for Eurolaul 2006 can be submitted to ETV until 5th December. An internal jury will select the songs for the national selection before the end of the year. Songs can be in any language. Details will be published shortly.

This year, Estonia came 20th in the semifinal with Suntribe's Let's get loud, and therefor has to go through the semifinal in Athens. In 2001, Estonia won the Eurovision Song Contest with Tanel & Dave's Everybody. The 2002 Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn was a strong impulse for the country's economy, tourism industry and the people's support in favour of joining the European Union.
